Genuine Nissan Rear Lower Brake Caliper Slide Pin - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Rear Lower Brake Caliper Slide Pin - Patrol GU Y61

This is the brake caliper slide on the BOTTOM of the REAR brake caliper on a GU. The slide is the different for the top and bottom. It is a precision-engineered steel pin that allows the brake caliper to move freely, or "slide," ensuring even pressure is applied to the brake pads on both sides of the brake rotor. This movement is critical for balanced and effective braking.

Over time, exposure to heat, moisture, and road grime can cause the original slide pins to corrode, lose lubrication, and seize within the caliper bracket. If a slide pin is seized, it prevents the caliper from functioning correctly, leading to serious braking issues. Replacing a worn or seized pin is essential for maintaining the safety and performance of your vehicle's braking system.
