This genuine Nissan crush tube, also known as a collapsible spacer, is located in the rear differential assembly, between the pinion bearings. It is a critical, single-use component designed to set the correct preload on the bearings when the pinion nut is tightened. This part must be replaced any time the pinion nut is removed for jobs like replacing a leaking pinion seal or servicing the bearings. Re-using the old tube will result in incorrect preload, causing rapid and expensive damage to your differential.

NOTE: This crush tube does NOT suit R51 models.
