Genuine Nissan Rear Brake Wheel Cylinder - Nissan Navara D23

This is a Genuine Nissan rear brake wheel cylinder for the Nissan Navara D23 NP300. Located inside the rear brake drum assembly, this component uses hydraulic pressure from the brake master cylinder to force the brake shoes outwards against the drum, creating the friction needed to stop your vehicle. This part is sold individually, and two are required per vehicle (one for each rear wheel).

The internal seals on a wheel cylinder can perish or fail over time, causing brake fluid to leak and a dangerous loss of hydraulic pressure. Common signs of a faulty wheel cylinder include a soft or spongy brake pedal, a noticeable reduction in braking performance, and visible fluid leaks around the inside of the rear wheel or brake backing plate. Replacing a leaking cylinder is essential for restoring safe braking operation.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Quality: As a critical safety component, this genuine cylinder is manufactured to strict OEM specifications. Unlike cheaper alternatives that may use inferior seals prone to premature failure, this part ensures correct fitment and long-term reliability.
• Premium Seals: Features high-grade seals specifically designed to resist brake fluid, preventing leaks and guaranteeing consistent hydraulic pressure for the life of the part.
• Precision Machining: The cylinder bore and piston are precision-machined for smooth, consistent operation and a firm, reliable brake pedal feel.
• Direct-Fit Replacement: A direct bolt-in part that restores your vehicle's braking system to factory standards, fixing dangerous leaks and ensuring optimal performance.

Installation Notes

Installation is considered a workshop-level job as it involves a critical safety system. The brake system must be properly bled after the cylinder is replaced to remove all air from the lines. You will need fresh, correct-specification brake fluid to complete the job. It is also highly recommended to inspect the condition of your brake shoes and drum hardware at the same time and replace them if they are worn.
