Genuine Nissan Rear Axle Grease Seal - Nissan Navara D22

This is a Genuine Nissan rear axle grease and oil seal, designed specifically for Nissan Navara D22 models equipped with rear drum brakes. Located in the rear axle housing, its crucial job is to keep the differential oil inside the axle and away from your brake components. This seal is sold individually.

Over time, these seals can harden and wear, allowing oil to leak onto the brake shoes and drum. This contamination severely reduces braking performance, creating a serious safety hazard. A leaking axle seal is a common reason for failing a roadworthy inspection, making a high-quality replacement essential for safety and compliance.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Quality: Manufactured from quality materials to Nissan's original specifications for a perfect, leak-free fit.
• Brake System Protection: Ensures a secure seal to prevent differential oil leaks onto brake shoes and drums, maintaining braking effectiveness.
• Bearing Longevity: Protects the rear wheel bearings by retaining grease and preventing contamination from dirt and water ingress.
• Direct-Fit Replacement: Designed as a direct-fit genuine part for straightforward installation and guaranteed performance.

Installation Notes

Replacement is typically a workshop job that requires removing the rear wheel, brake drum, and axle shaft to access the old seal. Specialised seal pullers and installation tools are recommended to avoid damaging the new seal or the axle housing. If the original seal has leaked, the brake shoes will be contaminated and must be replaced to restore safe braking performance. It is also a good time to inspect the wheel bearing for wear and top up the differential oil.
