This Genuine Nissan Ignition Coil Pack is fitted directly on top of the spark plug for the rear cylinders of the VK56 V8 engine. Its job is to transform your vehicle's low voltage electricity into the high voltage required to create a spark and ignite the fuel. The coil packs on the Y62, particularly the ones at the rear of the engine, are prone to failure from sustained heat exposure. A faulty coil pack will cause an engine misfire, resulting in rough idling, a significant loss of power, and poor fuel economy. If you ignore a misfire, you risk sending unburnt fuel into your exhaust, which can permanently damage your catalytic converters, leading to a far more expensive repair bill.
There is 8 per vehicle, the front 4 cylinders (2 on each side) are the same, and the rear 4 cylinders (2 on each side) are same. So there is two different part numbers you will need to buy to replace all 8.
This listing is for the coil pack to suit the REAR 4 cylinders; they are however Sold INDIVIDUALLY. You will need to purchase 4 to replace them all.
