This Genuine Nissan Heater Core Assembly is located deep within your vehicle's dashboard, housed inside the heater box unit. It functions as a small radiator, circulating hot engine coolant through its core. As you turn on your heater, the blower fan forces air across the core's fins, transferring heat from the coolant into the cabin to warm the interior and defrost your windscreen.
Over time, the heater core can become clogged with sediment from the cooling system, leading to a lack of heat in the cabin. More critically, they can develop leaks due to corrosion or age. A leaking heater core is often identified by a sweet, antifreeze smell inside the car, perpetually foggy windows, or a wet patch on the passenger-side floor carpet.
End tank thickness 41mm, core thickness 26mm.
Note: The entire dashboard needs to be removed to replace the Heater Core.
