This is a Genuine Nissan pre-DPF oxygen sensor for the Nissan Navara D23 NP300. Located in the exhaust system near the turbocharger, this sensor is mounted before the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). It measures oxygen levels in the exhaust gas, providing critical data to the ECU to maintain the correct air-fuel mixture for optimal combustion and emissions control.
Oxygen sensors can become contaminated or fail over time, leading to incorrect signals. This prevents the engine computer from maintaining the correct air-fuel mixture. Signs of a faulty oxygen sensor include poor engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and an illuminated check engine light. Your vehicle may also fail an emissions test.
Please note that this sensor is different from the post-DPF oxygen sensor, which is located further down the exhaust system and is available separately.
