Genuine Nissan One Way Check Valve - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan One Way Check Valve for Brake and Clutch - Nissan Patrol GQ/GU

This genuine Nissan one-way check valve is located in the vacuum hose line that connects to the brake booster. It serves as a crucial component for both the power-assisted braking and, on manual models, the clutch systems. The primary function of this valve is to maintain a vacuum within the booster, which provides the assistance needed to reduce pedal effort. Over time, the internal diaphragm can wear out or the plastic housing can become brittle and crack, leading to a critical vacuum leak.

If this valve fails, it can result in a complete loss of power assistance to your brakes and clutch. You will notice a significantly harder brake pedal, requiring much more physical effort to slow the vehicle down, which can dangerously increase your stopping distance. Similarly, the clutch pedal may become stiff and difficult to depress, making gear changes challenging and unpleasant.
