Genuine Nissan Key Reader TB48 ZD30 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Key Reader - Patrol Y61 GU TB48 ZD30DI

This Genuine Nissan Key Reader, also known as an immobiliser antenna, is fitted around the ignition barrel, directly behind where you insert your key. It is a crucial part of your vehicle's security system, responsible for reading the unique transponder chip embedded in your key head. This communication allows the Nissan Anti-Theft System (NATS) to be deactivated, enabling the engine to start.

Over time, the delicate electronics within the key reader can fail, leading to an inability to recognise a valid key. Symptoms often start intermittently, but eventually, the vehicle will fail to start altogether. If you are experiencing starting issues and the security light on your dashboard is flashing when the key is in the ignition, a faulty key reader is a likely cause.
