This seal is located in the REAR Axle Housings with Drum Brakes. This is the seal pushed into the end of the axle housing, that the axle seals against. Its job is to stop differential gear oil from leaking out. When this seal fails, oil will run down the axle tube and contaminate your rear brake shoes and drum.
