Genuine Nissan Harmonic Balancer TD42 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Harmonic Balancer - Y61 GU TD42T & TD42TI Nissan Patrol

This is the harmonic balancer for your Y61 GU Nissan Patrol with a TD42T or TD42TI engine. It's bolted to the front of the crankshaft and its job is to dampen engine vibrations. These balancers are often overlooked, but a worn or damaged one can lead to serious engine damage.

Imagine your engine vibrating excessively, leading to premature wear on bearings, seals, and even the crankshaft itself. Ignoring a worn harmonic balancer can turn a minor issue into a major engine rebuild.
