Genuine Nissan Handbrake Shoes VK56 - Nissan Patrol Y62

Genuine Nissan Handbrake Shoes - Patrol Y62 VK56 5.6L V8

This genuine handbrake shoe kit is a critical component of the parking brake system, fitted inside the central 'hat' section of the rear brake rotors on your Nissan Patrol Y62. This is a complete genuine Nissan replacement kit containing all the handbrake shoes required to service both rear wheels, restoring your vehicle's parking brake performance to factory specification. This replacement is typically needed when the original shoes have worn down from use, become contaminated, or have failed, resulting in a weak or ineffective handbrake that won't hold the vehicle securely.

Ignoring a worn or faulty handbrake is a significant safety hazard. An ineffective parking brake may fail to hold your vehicle, especially on a slope, leading to it rolling away and potentially causing serious accidents, property damage, or injury. It is also a key safety item that will cause your vehicle to fail a roadworthy inspection.

On series 1-3 (11/2012 - 06/2017) you also need to change the adjuster in order to fit these shoes to your vehicle. Part number for this is 442001LA6B and this is also available in our online store. You will need two of them to do both sides, but are SOLD INDIVIDUALLY

On series 4 models (06/2017 on) you only require the shoes; you don't need the adjuster.
