Genuine Nissan Handbrake Pulley Cam RH 4WD - Nissan Navara D22

This is a genuine Nissan right-hand (driver side) handbrake pulley cam, designed for 4WD Nissan Navara D22 models. Located inside the rear brake drum assembly, this cam acts as the lever that the handbrake cable connects to. When the handbrake is applied, this cam pivots to push the brake shoes outwards against the inside of the drum, holding the vehicle stationary.

Positioned within the brake drum, this component is constantly exposed to dirt, water, and mud, which can cause the pivot to corrode and seize over time. A seized cam will prevent the handbrake from operating correctly, either by failing to engage or, more commonly, by failing to release. This leads to the handbrake shoes dragging, causing poor fuel economy, premature wear, and dangerous heat build-up in the rear axle.
