Genuine Nissan Gearbox Gearstick Round Rubber Boot - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU & Navara D22

Genuine Nissan Gearbox Gearstick Round Rubber Boot - Nissan Patrol GU Y61

This genuine Nissan gearstick boot is located on the transmission tunnel, sealing the cabin where the gear lever protrudes through the floor. It is the primary round rubber seal that prevents elements from the underside of the vehicle from entering the interior. Over time, the original rubber boot can perish, crack, or tear due to constant exposure to heat from the transmission and the repetitive motion of changing gears. This degradation compromises the seal between the cabin and the vehicle's underbody.

A damaged or missing gearstick boot can lead to a significant increase in cabin noise, excessive heat radiating from the transmission tunnel, and the entry of unpleasant fumes, dust, and water. This not only makes for an uncomfortable driving experience but can also be a potential distraction and health concern. Replacing it with a genuine part restores the cabin's integrity.
