Genuine Nissan Front Exhaust Mount - Nissan Patrol Y62 S5

This is a Genuine Nissan front exhaust mount, located at the front of the muffler in the middle of the exhaust system on the Y62 Series 5 Nissan Patrol. This crucial component is engineered to securely support the exhaust, absorb engine vibrations, and prevent excessive movement that can lead to stress and damage to pipes and joints.

Over time, the original rubber mount is exposed to constant heat and vibration, causing it to perish, tear, and lose its ability to properly support the exhaust system. Replacing a worn or failed mount is essential for maintaining the integrity and quiet operation of your vehicle's exhaust.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Quality: Manufactured to OEM specifications for perfect fitment, performance, and long-term reliability. Using a genuine part avoids the premature failure common with inferior aftermarket rubber compounds.
• Durable Construction: Made from high-grade rubber specifically formulated to withstand the extreme heat and constant vibration of the exhaust system.
• Vibration Damping: Effectively absorbs and isolates exhaust vibrations, eliminating rattling or clunking noises from underneath the vehicle for a quieter ride.
• System Protection: Properly supports the exhaust pipe, preventing sagging and reducing stress on other expensive components like the muffler, catalytic converter, and exhaust manifolds.

Installation Notes

Installation is a straightforward task for a workshop or an experienced DIY mechanic. Accessing the mount underneath the vehicle is the main challenge, so a vehicle hoist or appropriate safety stands are strongly recommended. Basic metric spanners or a socket set will be required. It is good practice to inspect all other exhaust mounts and hangers at the same time. They are exposed to the same conditions and often wear at a similar rate, so replacing them as a set can prevent future issues.
