Genuine Nissan Front Door Check Strap - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Front Door Check Strap - Patrol GU Y61

This Genuine Nissan Front Door Check Strap is fitted between the front door and the A-pillar of the vehicle's body. It can be used on either side. It is a crucial component designed to control how far the door opens and to hold it securely in a set position. You may need to replace this part if your door makes a loud clicking or popping sound when opening, fails to stay open on its own, or swings open too freely without any resistance.

Ignoring a worn or broken door check strap can lead to serious and costly damage. Without its control, the door can be caught by the wind or swing open uncontrollably on a slope, potentially hyper-extending and damaging the door hinges, the fender, or the door's paintwork. It also poses a safety risk, as the door could unexpectedly swing shut or hit an adjacent vehicle in a car park.
