Genuine Nissan Firewall Grommet - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ

Genuine Nissan Firewall Grommet for A/C Pipes - Patrol GQ

This genuine Nissan firewall grommet is located on the vehicle's firewall, where the air conditioning pipes pass from the engine bay into the passenger cabin. It is a specially moulded rubber seal designed to protect the cabin from the elements.

Over time, the original grommet can become hard, brittle, and cracked due to constant exposure to engine heat and the elements. This deterioration can cause it to fall apart, compromising the seal between the engine bay and the cabin.

If not replaced, a failed firewall grommet can allow water, dust, engine fumes, and noise to enter the vehicle's interior. This can lead to wet carpets, unpleasant odours, potential mould growth, and a significantly louder and less comfortable driving experience. It also allows hot air to enter the cabin, reducing the efficiency of your air conditioning system.
