Genuine Nissan EGT Temp Sensor PRE DPF - Nissan Navara D23 2015-2026

This is a Genuine Nissan Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor for the Nissan Navara D23 NP300 with the YS23 engine. It is located in the exhaust system before the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), often referred to as sensor number two, positioned next to the turbo. This sensor's primary function is to provide critical temperature data to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to correctly manage DPF regeneration cycles and ensure efficient engine operation.

Operating in an extremely hot and harsh environment, these sensors can fail over time, resulting in incorrect readings or no signal being sent to the ECU. Common symptoms of a faulty sensor include a check engine light, the vehicle entering limp mode, and the failure of the DPF to perform its regeneration cycles. Replacing a faulty sensor is essential to protect your DPF from becoming blocked, which can lead to a very costly repair.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Quality: Guarantees accurate temperature data is sent to your ECU for correct engine and DPF function. Using a genuine part avoids the risks associated with cheaper aftermarket sensors, which may provide inaccurate readings and lead to DPF blockages.
• Direct-Fit Replacement: Manufactured to OEM specifications for precise fitment and ECU communication, ensuring a secure installation with no modifications required.
• Durable Construction: Built from high-temperature materials specified to withstand the extreme heat, gas flow, and vibration of the exhaust system, ensuring a long and reliable service life.

Installation Notes

Replacement is typically a straightforward job for a qualified workshop. For the DIY mechanic, access can be limited and the old sensor may be seized in the exhaust housing, which can make removal challenging without the correct tools like a flare nut spanner or a specific sensor socket. While no other parts are typically required for replacement, it is good practice to inspect the wiring harness connector for any signs of damage or corrosion before fitting the new sensor.
