This is a Genuine Nissan clutch slave cylinder, a critical hydraulic component designed for the Nissan Navara D22. Mounted to the side of the gearbox, it uses hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder to actuate the clutch fork, disengaging the clutch and allowing you to change gears. The internal seals in the original cylinder are a common failure point, perishing over time and causing fluid leaks which lead to a loss of hydraulic pressure.

Symptoms of a failing slave cylinder include a spongy clutch pedal that drops to the floor, difficulty selecting gears, or visible fluid leaks around the bellhousing. Once the bore of the cylinder has worn, it will continue to cause issues. We have found it is far more reliable to replace the entire cylinder assembly rather than attempting to rebuild it.
