Genuine Nissan Brake Caliper Shim Kit Front - Nissan Navara D23 2015-2026

This Genuine Nissan Front Brake Caliper Shim Kit is designed for the Nissan Navara D23. The kit consists of precisely engineered metal plates that fit between the front brake pads and the caliper assembly. Their primary function is to eliminate noise and ensure the smooth, quiet operation of your front brakes.

Over time, original shims can corrode, bend, or lose their noise-dampening properties, leading to irritating brake squeal, grinding, or chattering, especially during light braking. It is best practice to replace these shims whenever you change your front brake pads to restore quiet, factory-spec braking performance and prevent uneven pad wear.

Product Features

• Genuine Nissan Part: Guarantees a perfect fit, factory performance, and quiet operation for your Navara.
• Reduces Noise and Vibration: Specifically engineered to dampen the vibrations that cause brake squeal and chatter.
• Promotes Even Pad Wear: Ensures brake pads are correctly seated within the caliper, extending the service life of your new pads.
• Superior Materials: Manufactured from high-grade, corrosion-resistant metals with specialised coatings to withstand harsh Australian conditions.
• Complete Front Axle Kit: Provides all the necessary shims for a complete front brake pad replacement on both sides.

Installation Notes

Replacement of this shim kit is typically performed during a front brake pad change and is a straightforward task for a workshop or an experienced home mechanic. To complete the job properly, this kit should be installed with new front brake pads. You may also require new brake rotors, fresh brake fluid, and caliper slide pin grease. Common tools for this job include a socket set, a C-clamp or piston wind-back tool, a torque wrench, and brake cleaner.
