Genuine Nissan Battery Terminal Cover - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU & Navara D22

Genuine Nissan Battery Terminal Cover - Nissan Navara D22 & Patrol Y61 GU

This is the genuine red plastic cover that clips directly onto the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery. You'll find it under the bonnet, doing its bit to keep things safe.

After years of heat cycles in the engine bay and copping vibrations from tough tracks, the original plastic gets brittle and weak. It's common for them to crack, break off, or simply get lost during a battery change. It might seem like a small thing, but leaving that positive terminal exposed is asking for trouble. If a spanner, a stray piece of metal, or your winch cable happens to touch the exposed positive terminal and any metal part of your rig, you'll create a dead short. This can instantly fry expensive electronics, wreck your battery, or even spark a fire. For a few bucks, this little cover is cheap insurance against a massive headache.
