Genuine Nissan Bailey Channel - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU

Genuine Nissan Bailey Channel - Patrol GU Y61 RHF

This Genuine Nissan Bailey Channel is fitted into the front right-hand (driver's side) door frame, creating a guide for the door glass to run in. It is the main seal that guides the window as it moves up and down.

Over time, the original rubber and felt lining can become worn, brittle, or cracked due to constant exposure to the elements. This degradation can cause the window to operate slowly, get stuck, or rattle within the door frame. Replacing a worn bailey channel is essential for restoring smooth window function and ensuring a proper seal against the outside environment.

If a faulty bailey channel is not replaced, it can lead to several issues. Water can leak past the worn seal and into the internal door cavity, potentially causing rust and damage to electrical components like the window regulator motor and speakers. It can also result in excessive wind noise while driving and may cause the window glass to scratch or even shatter under stress.
