This genuine copper washer is located where the automatic transmission cooler pipe lines connect to the transmission housing or the radiator. These are single-use crush washers, designed to deform when the banjo bolt is tightened to create a perfect, high-pressure seal. Once they have been compressed, they work-harden and cannot be reused, as they will not seal properly a second time.
