Genuine Nissan Air Box Water Drain TB42 - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ

Genuine Nissan Air Box Water Drain - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ TB42e EFI

This is the genuine Nissan water drain valve located on the bottom of the air filter box. It's a critical one-way valve designed to let any water that enters your airbox drain out, without letting dust or water in. The original rubber valve perishes, becoming hard and brittle, which leads to it cracking or falling out completely. A missing or failed drain valve creates a direct path for unfiltered air, dust, and water to be sucked straight into your engine, completely bypassing the air filter. This can cause catastrophic engine damage, especially after water crossings.
