This is the front input shaft cover, or nose cone, for your gearbox. It's the bit that the clutch release bearing (or throw-out bearing) slides back and forth on every single time you push the clutch pedal. Located on the front of the gearbox that goes over the input shaft, This has been known to snap with incorrect clutch fitment.

When this is fitted it is recommended to buy a Genuine Nissan gearbox input gasket (part no. 3211232J00) and a Gearbox input seal (part no. 32113VB000W) at the same time.
