Patrolapart Diff Breathers Kit 4 Point Diffs, Gearbox & Transfer - Nissan Patrol Y62

Diff Breathers Kit 4 Point Diffs, Gearbox & Transfer - Nissan Patrol Y62

This comprehensive 4-point breather kit is designed to protect the critical drivetrain components of your Nissan Patrol Y62, including the front and rear differentials, gearbox, and transfer case. Factory breathers are simple, one-way valves often located on top of the axle or transmission housing. During water crossings, a hot drivetrain is rapidly cooled, creating a vacuum that can suck water, mud, and other contaminants past the seals and into your vital components. This extended breather kit relocates the breathing point to a high, dry location, such as the engine bay, ensuring your drivetrain only breathes clean air.

Ignoring the risk of water ingress can be catastrophic for your vehicle's drivetrain. Water contamination turns gear oil into a milky sludge, destroying its lubricating properties. This leads to rapid and severe wear on gears and bearings, resulting in expensive, premature failure of your differentials, gearbox, or transfer case, and could leave you stranded on the trail.
