Air Conditioning Compressor A/C Clutch Assembly ZD30 - Nissan Patrol Y61 GU & Navara D22

Air Con Compressor A/C Clutch Assembly - Nissan Patrol GU ZD30Di

This A/C clutch assembly is mounted to the front of the air conditioning compressor on your vehicle's engine. It acts as an electromagnetic clutch, engaging the compressor to pressurize the refrigerant and start the cooling process when you turn on your A/C. Air conditioner is essential for comfort on long trips, tough tracks, or in hot climates. If your A/C clutch has failed due to a worn bearing or burnt-out coil, this assembly allows for a targeted, cost-effective repair without needing to replace the entire, more expensive compressor unit.

A failing clutch bearing will often produce a grinding or squealing noise. Ignoring this can lead to the bearing seizing completely, which can shred the drive belt. A broken drive belt will cause an immediate loss of power steering, alternator function, and water pump circulation, potentially leaving you stranded and risking engine overheating.
