Air Box Stainless Mounting Rubber - Nissan Patrol Y60 GQ & Y61 GU

This is a replacement rubber mount, sold individually, specifically designed to secure a Patroldocta GU Style Stainless Steel Air Box. It locates between the airbox mounting bracket and the vehicle's inner guard, providing a crucial, vibration-dampened anchor point for your intake system. This component is a direct replacement for a worn, damaged, or lost mounting rubber.

Engine bay conditions are harsh. Constant exposure to heat and vibration will cause the original rubber mount to perish, crack, or harden over time, losing its effectiveness. Signs of a faulty mount often include excessive rattling or vibration from the airbox assembly. A visual inspection can also reveal obvious cracking or degradation of the rubber.

Using a quality replacement mount is critical. Inferior rubber compounds can fail quickly, leaving your expensive airbox improperly secured. This leads to vibration and stress that can cause fractures in the airbox and its mounting tabs, potentially allowing unfiltered air, dust, and water to enter your engine and risk severe internal damage.
